My name is Dr. Katherine Jimenez. I was born in Spain, the land of tapas and flamenco dancing, and later moved to Virginia, the land of lovers and colonial tourist attractions. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and received my bachelor degree in biology. I wanted to help people, make changes in their lives and have an impact in the world. The problem was I did not know how. Luckily, my cousin was going through chiropractic school, and mentioned how amazing chiropractic was and how much of an impact it made in people’s lives. After undergrad and telling my mother I was moving about 13 hours away from her (she was not thrilled), I enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic here in Florida.
I look forward to helping my patients understand what’s going on inside their body and how chiropractic can improve their health. I believe the more you know about your health, and how to improve it the healthier you become. When I’m not assisting patients at the clinic during the week, I volunteer at the Halifax Humane Society, helping people find their furry best friend. My fiancé Chris and I adopted our dog Daisy from Halifax Humane Society, which is why getting these animals adopted is one of my passions!
I can’t wait to meet you, and hopefully, exchange pet pictures, if you have any!
I started my chiropractic career with one goal – to make you feel better. And it comes from a place of understanding. My name is Andrew Sinclair and I’m a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. The story behind becoming a chiropractor is very personal and special to me. In 1999, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune kidney disease. To be perfectly honest, I thought my life was over. That’s when I started to explore the world of alternative and natural medicine. I was working a very regular and respectable job as a union sheet metal worker. When I got sick, I was referred to Dr. Janice Piro, DC, DABCI. She helped me get better and see the world through different eyes. She ultimately inspired me to go into chiropractic medicine.
Another meaningful part of this is that I’ve been a competitive Country Western and West Coast Swing dancer for years. It’s a fun and competitive sport– but there’s a price to pay and it’s usually with your body from natural wear and tear. Much of my career has focused on helping professional dancers resolve their aches and pains so they can keep doing what they love most. Dancing.
In terms of education, I’ve trained in musculoskeletal concerns and internal disorders. I earned my degree from Western States University in Portland, Oregon. While I trained out West, I came home to Florida to treat in 2010. I believe in always learning new things and I’m continuing to work toward completing my Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI) certification. I look forward to treating you based on what you need and what’s special about you.
My name is Aja Nelson and I was born in Brooklyn, New York to two Trinidadian natives. As a massage therapist now living in Florida, my main goal is to provide relief to the general public. I take pride in my work and it gives me great joy to see individuals blossom with smiles of rejoicing all due to the assistance and education of the therapies we perform here at Preferred Injury Physicians. When not performing body work, I enjoy playing basketball, working out, or even playing 2K on PlayStation. My favorite quote that comes to mind is "Work smart and play hard."
My name is Lyz. I was born in Puerto Rico and have been a Massage Therapist for 11 years. I have a 4-year old daughter and she means the world to me; she is my everything. She inspires me to be a better person every day. She has changed my life for the best. We love to go to Disney World, Sea World and Busch Gardens on the weekends.
