Dr. Travis Utter

Owner/Doctor
Dr. Travis Utter attended Florida State University and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2003, where he studied Communications and Science. A true passion for helping and healing others, Dr. Utter attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. Since graduating in 2011 he has primarily focused on Whiplash related injuries. Dr. Utter is certified in Whiplash & Brain Injury Traumatology, emphasizing the biomechanics of injury mechanisms, occupant kinematics, automobile crash reconstruction methods, our most current knowledge of imaging techniques, and the comprehensive case management of whiplash and related disorders. He currently holds licenses in Florida and Kentucky.

Dr. Joyce Acosta

Dr. Joyce Acosta is a board certified Chiropractor. Dr. Acosta earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from University of Central Florida. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. She studied Acupuncture at the University of Miami. She is committed to helping families in the community experience improved health and vitality. She enjoys educating others on how to manage stress better, how to prevent injury in the workplace and home, and how to return to peak performance after an injury.

The chiropractic techniques she utilizes include: Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, and Activator, the office also performs physical therapy, manual therapy and rehabilitation. Dr. Acosta welcomes and strives to help patients achieve wellness and health from injuries and illness, including chronic low back pain, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, sport injuries, auto accident injuries, pregnant women and children. Her love of chiropractic and genuine concern for others drive her pursuit of excellence in her work as well as her service to the community. Dr. Acosta routinely attends post-graduate seminars in order to provide the most advanced and best quality care for her patients.

Dr. Acosta enjoys reading and outdoor activities including swimming, fishing, and camping with her family and dogs. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures. She believes that traveling to new and exciting places changes the way you think and relate to others as an individual.

Mariel Steel

Registered Chiropractic Assistant

Mariel has been a licensed massage therapist since 2004. She graduated from Florida College of Natural Health with an associate’s degree in Massage and Advanced Techniques. She has been with us since May 2015 and enjoys helping others. In her free time, Mariel takes aerial silks classes and trains for triathlons.

Registered Chiropractic Assistant 

Betty Guido has practiced as a massage therapist for over 20 years. Betty is always energetic and considered the life of the office. She takes great pride in making sure all her patients are healthy and happy after therapy. She loves her career and is excited to join the Preferred Injury Physicians team in our Kissimmee office.
